I began this morning by having breakfast with the director of a game studio I used to work at and the producer of a movie I had a chance to act in. http://www.facebook.com/OrcsMovie. If you ever get the chance to see it, I am orc #3, 5, 7, 11-15, and 19. It’s amazing what movie magic can do. Actually, not to be racist but I have no idea which Orcs I was; they all look the same to me.

The same things that make Utah so beautiful make is such a crappy place to live. The mountains that surround the valley create something called an inversion which traps all the pollution until the next rain. If you ever have a chance to visit Utah, my advice would be DON’T GO, unless of course you head straight to one of the ski resorts. Utah has the best snow on earth.

Once I had snaked my out of the valley I was presented with this site.

As I stood there in amazement, I tried to imagine what the first pioneers thought when they were presented with this site. What was even more amazing was the realization that I would be able to drive through the entire thing in a matter of hours, not counting being stopped once by a trooper who insisted on giving me his autograph and the address where I will need to send payment for it.

After my previous experience, I decided to take a more southerly rout and pass through Moab Utah, because of the interesting rock formations I had heard existed there.

I was not disappointed, and every time I saw such a sight I did what man has done for thousands of years. I climbed it of course.  This unfortunately meant I took way longer than scheduled to get through the mountains and had once again gotten caught there at night.

Do you guys know what happens in the mountains at night? That’s right, it snows or at least it does when I am present.  Unlike the previous night when I had a nice parking lot to stop at, I was caught on a narrow windy road with no place to pull over and the knowledge that should I stop to sleep out the night, visibility was so low that I would certainly get thrown off the mountain by a passing semi.

I made a decision to text my girlfriend that I loved her and slowly start down the mountain with my hazards on just in case someone dumber than myself came rolling up too quickly. It took 2 hours to get down but my posting here is proof that I am alive.

Tomorrow I will need to make up some time so that I can spend a few hours at Graceland when I pass by.
